Joel Nelson

Joel Nelson, CFP® and his wife Crystal are the owners of South Platte Agency, Inc.  The Nelson’s provide leadership for the team.  Joel has been serving Sedgwick County and NE Colorado for over 17 years as an Investment Advisor and Financial Planner. Crystal (Herman) grew up on a Ranch in Yuma county and has 35 years in agriculture with 25 years at Cargill and the last 10 as General Manager for Vitalix, Inc.   She and her sisters still own their family farm and ranch located in Laird, Colorado.  Joel is the only CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER_TM  within 100 miles of Sterling Colorado. We invest our time and money in South Platte Agency because we believe farm families and professionals in rural America deserve some of the most competitive independent financial services available anywhere in America.
